Kavya Madhavan is a Malayalam actress who made her debut as a child artist in Pookkalam Varavayi (1991). She rose to prominence with her leading role in Chandranudikkunna Dikhil (1999), which marked a significant turning point in her career. Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, she became a prominent figure in Malayalam cinema, featuring in popular films such as Mazhamegha Pravukal (2002), Meesa Madhavan (2002), and Classmates (2006). Kavya has earned two Kerala State Film Awards for Best Actress for her performances in Perumazhakkalam (2004) and Gaddama (2011). Her portrayal of a migrant worker in Gaddama is particularly celebrated. Kavya Madhavan also starred in Lokpal (2013).
