Kavi Raz is the first South Asian actor to be signed as a regular in a major television series, specifically in St Elsewhere. He is an Indian-born British actor, writer, director, and producer. Raz founded The Wandering Players Theater Company, which introduced works from India to Western audiences, including plays by Rabindranath Tagore. His film career includes notable appearances in The Black Prince (2017) and the television series Site (2025). Raz established K.R. Films Hollywood in 1978, which produced the television variety series Lehren, aimed at the Asian audience.
