Mary Kathleen Turner is an American actress who gained fame for her role as Matty Walker in Body Heat (1981). She debuted in film with the 1977 production of The Doctors, a soap opera where she played Nola Dancy Aldrich. Throughout the 1980s, she starred in several notable films, including Romancing the Stone (1984), Prizzi's Honor (1985), and The War of the Roses (1989). Turner received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her performance in Peggy Sue Got Married (1986). Her voice work includes the role of Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). Turner appeared in Dumb and Dumber To (2014) and has also guest-starred in series such as Friends (2001).
