Katherine Parkinson is an English actress who starred as Jen Barber in the Channel 4 comedy series The IT Crowd, earning her a British Comedy Best TV Actress Award in both 2009 and 2014. She trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has performed in notable stage productions such as The Seagull (2007) and Home, I'm Darling (2018), the latter earning her an Olivier Award nomination. Parkinson was part of the main cast in the series Doc Martin from 2005 to 2009 and co-starred in the science-fiction drama Humans from 2015 to 2018. Her film credits include The Boat That Rocked (2009) and Radioactive (2020). She received a BAFTA Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance in 2014.
