Kat Ruston is a Canadian artist who made her film debut in the Lighting Department before transitioning to acting. She has a diverse background with Chinese, Spanish, and Filipino heritage. Ruston participated in a talent search in Las Vegas in 2005, which led to a scholarship opportunity, although she ultimately chose to continue her studies at Vancouver Island University. In 2009, she moved to Vancouver and gained valuable experience as a Lighting Technician, which deepened her appreciation for film production. She appeared in the film Corrective Measures (2022).
