Karena Lam is a Canadian actress who made her film debut in 2002, which marked the beginning of her successful career in cinema. That year, she starred in three notable Hong Kong films, earning accolades such as Best Supporting Actress and Best New Performer for her performance in July Rhapsody, directed by Ann Hui, and for Inner Senses by Lo Chi Leung. Lam has taken on increasingly complex roles, including a haunting character in the 2005 horror film Home Sweet Home. She appeared in The White Storm 2: Drug Lords in 2019. Lam's early career also included releasing two albums after being discovered by a talent scout in 1993.
