Karen Russell made her film debut as Chula, a street gang moll, in the urban action film "Tenement". Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, she appeared in various low-budget exploitation films, including the ditsy Shawnee in "Vice Academy" and Mafia princess Amy in "Murder Weapon". Other notable performances include Candy in "Easy Wheels", Fran in "The Banker", and Isabella in "Murder Blues". Russell had small roles as a dancer in mainstream films like "Dick Tracy" and "Bugsy". After retiring from acting in the mid-1990s, she became a yoga teacher and founded Yoga Groove in North Hollywood.
