Justin Theroux is an American actor and filmmaker who collaborated with director David Lynch in the mystery film Mulholland Drive (2001). He has appeared in a variety of films including American Psycho (2000), The Girl on the Train (2016), and Bumblebee (2018). Theroux worked as a screenwriter on projects such as Tropic Thunder (2008) and Iron Man 2 (2010). His television roles include Kevin Garvey in the HBO series The Leftovers (2014–2017) and Allie Fox in the Apple TV+ adaptation of The Mosquito Coast (2021–2023). He was nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in The Leftovers.
