Juri Ueno is a Japanese actress who received the 'Newcomer of the Year' award at the Japanese Academy Awards in 2005 for her performance in Swing Girls. She gained recognition for her lead role in the live-action adaptation of Nodame Cantabile, winning 'Best Lead Actress' at the 51st Television Drama Academy Awards in 2007. Ueno also portrayed Ruka Kishimoto in Last Friends, earning the title of 'Best Supporting Actress' at both the Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix and the 57th Television Drama Academy Awards in 2008. She appeared in The Beauty Inside (2015).
