Jüri Lumiste is an Estonian actor and director who starred in "Come and See" (1985). He graduated from Tartu 1st Secondary School in 1975 and initially studied mathematics at Tartu State University. Lumiste completed his training at the Hermaküla studio in 1979 and later participated in workshops across Russia, Türkiye, Finland, and Denmark during the 1980s and 1990s. He furthered his education in Japan and Germany from 1991 to 1992. Lumiste served as the drama director at the Vanemuine theater from 1993 to 1999. He has a life partner named Ülle Veermäe and three children, including a son from a previous marriage with Helena Merzin.
