June Squibb is an actress who received an Academy Award nomination for her role in Nebraska (2013). She began her career in musical theatre, performing at the St. Louis Muny and training at the Cleveland Play House and HB Studio. Squibb made her Broadway debut in the original production of Gypsy, taking over the role of Electra in 1960. Her extensive stage work includes performances in The Happy Time (1968) and Dividing the Estate (2012). In film, she has appeared in Meet Joe Black (1998), Hubie Halloween (2020), and Palm Springs (2020). In 2015, she was honored with induction into the Cleveland Play House Hall of Fame.
