Julie Andrews is a British actress and singer who made her Broadway debut in 1954 with The Boy Friend. She gained fame for her performances in musicals and films, including Mary Poppins (1964), for which she received an Academy Award for Best Actress, and The Sound of Music (1965). Her career saw a resurgence in the 2000s with family films like The Princess Diaries (2001) and its sequel, as well as the Shrek series, including Shrek Forever After (2010).
