Juan José Ballesta is a Spanish actor who gained prominence for his lead role in the film 'El bola' (2000), which earned him a Goya Award for Best New Actor. He began his career in television at the age of eight with the series 'Querido maestro' (1997) and later appeared in 'Compañeros'. Ballesta portrayed a cancer-stricken boy in 'Planta 4ª' (2003) and returned to film in '7 vírgenes' (2005), winning the Concha de Plata for Best Actor. He starred in the historical drama 'Bruc. El desafío' (2010) and joined the cast of the series 'Hispania', playing the character Paulo. He also appeared in 'Gold' (2017).
