She gained recognition for her roles in the television show Dear White People and has featured in films such as Bad Hair, Shithouse, and Dog. Sunday was raised in Staten Island, New York, and pursued her education in theater at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, later earning a degree in critical studies from USC School of Cinematic Arts.
