Josiane Balasko is a French actress, writer, and director who won a César Award for best writing for her work on Gazon maudit (1995). She received additional César nominations for her performances in Trop belle pour toi (1989), Tout le monde n'a pas eu la chance d'avoir des parents communistes (1993), and Cette femme-là (2003). Balasko's notable film appearances include 15 Minutes of War (2019). She was born Josiane Balašković in Paris and is married to fellow actor George Aguilar.
