Jonny Sweet is a British comedian who won the 2009 Edinburgh Comedy Award for best newcomer. He was educated at Nottingham High School and later attended Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he studied English and became involved with the Footlights, collaborating with Joe Thomas and Simon Bird. Sweet has appeared in various productions, including Greed (2019) and Wicked Little Letters (2024). His career in comedy began after an internship with Endemol UK, despite initial expectations of pursuing a legal career. He is also a supporter of Nottingham Forest Football Club.
