Jonathan Winters was an American comedian and actor who received two Grammy Awards during his career. He began as a stand-up comedian before moving into film and television. Notable works include The Smurfs (2011), as well as his work in television that earned him a Primetime Emmy Award. Winters was honored with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 1999. His legacy includes a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, awarded in 1960.
