Jon Cryer is an American actor who made his film debut in No Small Affair (1984). He rose to prominence for his role as "Duckie" in the 1986 film Pretty in Pink, scripted by John Hughes. Cryer gained significant recognition on television after being cast as Alan Harper in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, a role that earned him a Primetime Emmy Award in 2009. His film credits include Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) and Big Time Adolescence (2020). In addition to acting, he has written and produced the independent film Went to Coney Island on a Mission from God... Be Back by Five, which received positive reviews.
