John Williams is an American composer and conductor who has created some of the most memorable film scores in cinema history. His early work includes scores for Valley of the Dolls (1967), Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1969), and The Towering Inferno (1974). Williams has collaborated extensively with Steven Spielberg, composing for films such as Jaws (1975), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), and the Indiana Jones franchise (1981–2023). He has received numerous awards, including five Academy Awards and 26 Grammy Awards. Williams composed the score for Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story (2025).
