John Saxon was an American actor and martial artist who worked on more than 200 projects over a career spanning six decades. He began his acting journey as a contract actor for Universal Pictures, featuring in films like Rock, Pretty Baby (1956) and Portrait in Black (1961). Saxon gained recognition for his roles in horror films, including Black Christmas (1974) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), and demonstrated his martial arts skills alongside Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon (1973). He also appeared in westerns such as Death of a Gunfighter (1969) and Joe Kidd (1972). In the 1990s, he had roles in New Nightmare (1994) and From Dusk till Dawn (1996). Saxon passed away in 2020.
