John Rhys-Davies is a Welsh actor and vocal artist who portrayed the dwarf Gimli in The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-2003). He has appeared in various notable roles, including Sallah in the Indiana Jones films and Agent Michael Malone in the 1993 remake of The Untouchables. His extensive career includes performances in The Living Daylights (1987), Sliders (1995-2000), and I, Claudius (1976). Rhys-Davies also lent his voice to characters such as Cassim in Disney's Aladdin and the King of Thieves and Man Ray in SpongeBob SquarePants. He is in the film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023).
