John Paul Jones is an English musician and composer who was the bassist and keyboardist for the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. He began his career as a session musician and arranger before co-founding the band with Jimmy Page in 1968. Following the disbandment of Led Zeppelin in 1980 after the passing of drummer John Bonham, Jones pursued a solo career and collaborated with various artists, including the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 as a member of Led Zeppelin. His appearance in the documentary Becoming Led Zeppelin (2025) highlights his ongoing relevance in music.
