John Lynch is an Irish actor and novelist who won the AFI (AACTA) Award for Best Actor for his performance in Angel Baby (1995). He has appeared in notable films such as Cal (1984), The Secret Garden (1993), and In the Name of the Father (1993). His television credits include The Fall (2013–2016) and Medici (2019). Lynch has also ventured into writing, with two novels to his name: Torn Water (2005) and Falling Out of Heaven (2010). He features in Sew Torn (2025).
