John Lithgow is an American actor who won two Tony Awards for his stage performances. He made his Broadway debut in The Changing Room (1972), earning his first Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Play, and later won his second for Best Actor in a Musical for Sweet Smell of Success (2002). Lithgow has appeared in notable films such as Terms of Endearment (1983), Harry and the Hendersons (1987), and Shrek (2001). His television work includes roles in 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996–2001) and The Crown (2016–2019), for which he received multiple Primetime Emmy Awards. Lithgow's film credits include Interstellar (2014), Late Night (2019), and Killers of the Flower Moon (2023).
