John Hollis is an English actor who played Lobot in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980). He portrayed the German porter in The Dirty Dozen and appeared as one of the Elders of Krypton in Superman (1978), reprising the role in Superman II (1980). Hollis had an uncredited role as Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the opening of For Your Eyes Only (1981), where his character meets a dramatic end at the hands of Bond. His television credits include a role in Doctor Who and an appearance in The Avengers. Hollis was a versatile character actor, with performances in BBC Radio adaptations, including Magwitch in Great Expectations and Inspector Lestrade in Sherlock Holmes adaptations.
