John Hallam was a Northern Irish character actor who appeared in the film Nicholas and Alexandra (1971). He had a diverse career, featuring in notable titles such as Murphy's War (1971), Flash Gordon (1980), and Dragonslayer (1981). Hallam also played significant roles in television, including the BBC adaptations of Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1989), and he portrayed Barnsey in EastEnders.
