John Gargano is an American professional wrestler who began his career in 2005 with Cleveland All–Pro Wrestling. Over the years, he competed in various notable independent promotions, including Chikara, Dragon Gate USA, Evolve, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, where he won multiple titles such as the Evolve Tag Team Championship and the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas. Gargano made his way to WWE's NXT in 2016 after participating in a tryout camp, where he formed the tag team #DIY with Tommaso Ciampa, capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship. He also appeared in WWE Elimination Chamber 2023.
