John Fortune was an English satirist and comedian who starred in the film The Tailor of Panama (2001). He collaborated extensively with John Bird and Rory Bremner on the television series Bremner, Bird and Fortune. Fortune received his education at Bristol Cathedral School and King's College, Cambridge, where he developed a significant friendship with Bird.
