John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States, serving from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. He was the first Roman Catholic and the youngest person elected to the presidency at the age of 43. Before his presidency, Kennedy represented Massachusetts in both houses of Congress. His foreign policy was largely focused on relations with the Soviet Union and Cuba during the Cold War. Kennedy also appeared in the documentary Apollo 11 (2019).
