John David Washington is an American actor known for his role in BlacKkKlansman (2018), which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. He began his career in the HBO series Ballers in 2015 and later starred in Christopher Nolan's thriller Tenet (2020). Washington's filmography also includes Malcolm & Marie (2021) and Amsterdam (2022). He is the son of actor Denzel Washington and Pauletta Washington. Washington has roles in The Creator (2023) and The Piano Lesson (2024).
