John Boyega is a British actor and producer who gained initial recognition for his role as a teenage gang leader in the comedy horror film Attack the Block (2011). His international breakthrough came with the character Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). Boyega starred in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, which included The Last Jedi (2017) and The Rise of Skywalker (2019), and received the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2016. He won a Golden Globe Award for his performance as Leroy Logan in Red, White and Blue, part of the Small Axe anthology series. In addition to The Woman King (2022), he has also appeared in Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018).
