John Bennett was an English actor who appeared in the film The Message (1976). He trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama after being educated at Bradfield College. Bennett often portrayed villains and had numerous television roles in series such as Porridge, Survivors, and The Avengers. His film credits include The Fifth Element and The Pianist. In addition to his acting career, he was a passionate amateur flier and skilled glider pilot. Bennett had a significant presence in theatre, performing in various repertory productions across the UK.
