John Agar is an American actor who starred alongside John Wayne in Sands of Iwo Jima (1949) and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949). He appeared in several B movies, including Tarantula (1955), The Mole People (1956), and The Brain from Planet Arous (1957). Agar also worked with Lucille Ball in The Magic Carpet (1951). His career featured six collaborations with Wayne and two films with Shirley Temple, including Fort Apache (1948). Agar was married to Temple from 1945 to 1950 and had one daughter. He passed away in 2002 and is interred at Riverside National Cemetery. Agar appeared in King Kong (1976).
