Joel Rose is an American novelist whose works include the novels The Blackest Bird, Kill the Poor, and Kill Kill Faster Faster. He has co-authored and edited graphic novels for DC Comics and has written journalism for notable publications such as the New York Times and Los Angeles Times. Rose's television writing credits include Kojak and Miami Vice, and he co-edited the influential literary magazine Between C & D. His novel Kill Kill Faster Faster received the Best International Feature award at the 2008 London Independent Film Festival. The documentary Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain was released in 2021.
