Joanne Whalley is an English actress who began her career in 1974. She has appeared in nearly 30 feature films, with notable performances in Dance with a Stranger (1985), Willow (1988), and Scandal (1989). Whalley starred in the BBC serial Edge of Darkness, for which she received a BAFTA TV Award nomination. Other television credits include The Singing Detective (1986), Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (2000), and A.D. The Bible Continues (2015). She was credited as Joanne Whalley-Kilmer during her marriage to actor Val Kilmer. Whalley was nominated for a Best Actress Golden Nymph Award for her role in The Borgias (2011).
