Joanne Dru is an American actress who appeared in the classic western film Red River (1948). She gained prominence in the genre with notable performances in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) and Wagon Master (1950). After her film career waned in the 1950s, Dru transitioned to television, making appearances until the 1970s. Her work in television earned her a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She also featured in the film Super Fuzz (1980).
