JJ Feild is a British American actor who began his television career in 1999. He portrayed Fred Garland in the adaptations of Philip Pullman's The Ruby in the Smoke and The Shadow in the North. His filmography includes notable roles in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Austenland (2013), and Professor Marston and the Wonder Women (2017). Feild also starred as Major John André in the series Turn: Washington's Spies from 2014 to 2016. He made his West End debut in 2008 with Ring Round the Moon.
