Jimmy Ortega is a stuntman and actor who began his career in summer stock theater before moving to Los Angeles in 1978. His first acting role was in a guest appearance on the television series CHiPs in 1977, and he later worked as a stuntman on the film Hooper the same year. Ortega worked on notable films such as Beverly Hills Cop III (1994) and Babylon (2022). He has received a Stuntman's Award for Most Spectacular Sequence for the miniseries North & South and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance By Cast for Traffic (2000).
