Jill Schoelen is an American actress who gained prominence in the horror genre during the 1980s. She began her career in television with the pilot Best of Times (1981), featuring Nicolas Cage and Crispin Glover. Schoelen portrayed a stepdaughter tormented by a seemingly mild-mannered father in the cult classic The Stepfather (1987). Her filmography includes notable titles such as The Phantom of the Opera (1989) and Cutting Class (1989). She returned to the screen in the thriller When a Stranger Calls Back (1993). Schoelen has also balanced her career with family life, raising two children with her husband, Anthony Marinelli.
