Jill Clayburgh is an American actress who received the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress. She gained prominence with her role in Paul Mazursky's comedy-drama An Unmarried Woman (1978), which earned her an Academy Award nomination. Clayburgh was also nominated for a second Academy Award for Starting Over (1979) and received four Golden Globe nominations throughout her career. In addition to her notable film work, she appeared in The Wedding Party (1969).
