Jiah Khan was a British-American actress who made her film debut in the 2007 movie Nishabd. She played a modern, independent woman in Ghajini (2008), which became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of that year. Khan also appeared in the romantic comedy Housefull (2010), which ranked as the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood film of its release year. She was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her life ended tragically in 2013 under controversial circumstances, with ongoing investigations into her death.
