Jessie Nelson is a writer, director, and producer who wrote and directed Corrina Corrina. She collaborated with Sean Penn on I Am Sam and co-created the series Little Voice for Bad Robot and Apple TV. Nelson directed episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Love, The Coopers. As a writer, she worked on films like Step Mom and The Story of Us. Additionally, she wrote the Broadway musical Waitress, which features music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles. Nelson directed Alice By Heart, co-written with Steven Sater.
