Jess Weixler is an American actress known for her lead role in the comedy-horror film Teeth (2008). She graduated from Atherton High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and later attended Juilliard. Weixler's performance in Teeth earned her a nomination for a Breakthrough Award at the Gotham Awards and the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2007. She also appeared in The Big Bad Swim and the TV series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In 2009, New York Magazine named her the "New Indie Queen" of the year.
