Jérôme Deschamps is a French director and actor associated with the Famille Deschiens troupe, which he co-founded in 1981 with Macha Makeïeff. He has a background in theatre, having studied at prestigious institutions such as the École nationale supérieure des arts et techniques du théâtre and the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique de Paris. Deschamps served as the artistic director of the Théâtre national de Nîmes before taking on a similar role at the Théâtre national de l'Opéra-Comique from 2007 to 2015. His notable works include directing the play Les Deschiens and the animated film The Illusionist. He is also credited as the director of the film Mrs. (2026).
