Jeff Bridges is an American actor who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Crazy Heart (2009). He comes from a notable acting lineage, having appeared alongside his father, Lloyd Bridges, and brother, Beau Bridges, in the television series Sea Hunt (1958–60). Bridges has received multiple Academy Award nominations for his work in films such as The Last Picture Show (1971), Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974), Starman (1984), True Grit (2010), and Hell or High Water (2016). His film credits also include Iron Man (2008) and The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009). In 2025, he will appear in TRON: Ares.
