Jean Simmons was an English actress who made her film debut in British cinema during and after World War II. She gained prominence as one of J. Arthur Rank's 'well-spoken young starlets' before transitioning to Hollywood films in the 1950s. Simmons appeared in 'Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within' (2001). She was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
