Jean-Pierre Darras is a French actor who appeared in Asterix vs. Caesar (1985). He began his career in theatre after studying literature, joining Jean Vilar’s TNP, where he honed his skills in classical repertoire. Darras gained wider recognition through his performances alongside Philippe Noiret. His film credits include notable works such as Le Viager and L’Emmerdeur, where his ironic acting style was prominent. In addition to acting, he directed films, starting with Le Braconnier de Dieu in 1982, and co-founded a theatre festival in Carpentras. Darras was deeply passionate about Molière, dedicating several productions and writings to the playwright.
