Jaya Prada is an Indian actress and politician who received three Filmfare Awards South. She gained prominence in the late 1970s through the early 1990s, appearing in a variety of films across multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. Notable works include Sharaabi (1984), Aakhree Raasta (1986), and Insaniyat Ke Devta (1993). After a successful acting career, she transitioned into politics by joining the Telugu Desam Party in 1994 and served as a Member of Parliament from Rampur between 2004 and 2014. Satyajit Ray referred to her as "the most beautiful face on the Indian screen."
