Jay Johnston is an American actor and comedian known for his role as Officer Jay McPherson in The Sarah Silverman Program. He was a writer and cast member on the HBO sketch series Mr. Show. Johnston appeared in The Master of Disguise (2002). In 2023, he faced legal issues related to the January 6 Capitol attack, resulting in a felony conviction and a sentence of 12 months and a day in federal prison.
