Jason Hughes is a Welsh actor who portrayed Sergeant Ben Jones in the ITV series Midsomer Murders from 2005 to 2013. He made his television debut in 1996 as Warren Jones in the BBC drama This Life. Hughes has appeared in films such as Killing Me Softly (2002) and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2008), as well as stage productions like Our Country's Good. He has had roles in television shows like Holby City and Doctors. In addition to acting, Hughes is an author, having written two books. He left Midsomer Murders in 2013.
